And happy early Thanksgiving to you all! My most sincere hope is that you all have something to feel exceptionally grateful for. This year I'll be giving my thanks to our glorious planet while basking in tonight's full moon.
The Mourning Moon is what the Pagans called November's full moon. It's the last moon we'll observe before the winter solstice, and it was traditionally used as a time for letting go and mourning. The emphasis placed on gratitude this time of year sets a perfect tone for using the moon's glow to rid yourself of baggage; whether it's a bad habit, material junk, or deep emotional unrest. I encourage you all to take tonight to sift through the items you no longer find necessary and perhaps donate them to someone in need. Tonight is also a perfect time to perform a simple cleansing ritual to freshen up your home and soul and to take in all that you are grateful for. Play some of your favorite music, tidy up your home, and don't forget to stop and admire the bright, illuminating glow in the sky tonight.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday and an inspiring winter season.
